| CV378 Fat "Coke" Bottle |
The Fat "Coke" bottle or ST shape is a fine example of a great valve at all levels. Still cannot believe how they work and stabilize the current. It's a big valve about 12 cm tall and quite 'fat' in the middle as photo shows. U54=CV378=GZ37 Mullard. Again they work magically. Take a look at the plate and base. Price each £ 125

| 5R4GY made by Brimar and related brands |
These are great lovely tubes that found a good application in many amplifiers made in the 60's. The 5R4 works at 5 volts filament and has a current Ia mA of 60. These tubes show a lovely ribbed plate that make them interesting. We have tried these tubes instead of GZ32 and work fine. However the 5R4GY has CV number 717. Price each only £ 45

| Lovely batch of 5U4G here shown/explained |
You can see (from left to right) three rectifiers of common use. The first is the sought after U52 = 5U4G = CV 575 directly heated valve. The one in the middle is a 5U4G by Ferranti similar to a USA made, nice construction here, then a Brimar 5U4G. We have stock of them (but U52..few left) about 10 each. Price L to R £ 55 - £ 60 - £ 15

| U50 and 5Y3 more rectifiers for your amps |
The U50 Marconi is another good rectifier. This valve has equivalent CV 1268 or 5Y3GT (and that's the valve on the right) or 5Z4 (soon to be shown). We also have half a dozen 5Y3GT. Both valves have been tested and on top of that the U50 has Ia mA of 60. Hurry up if you need any of these tubes £ 20 - £ 15 each

| UU7 and UU8 by Mazda coated |
Two 'curious' valves which are more on the radio side than audio application. Since the UU7 finds its place in the RGD 1046 we thought it was a good idea to list these gems here. The UU7/UU8 have their own socket which is Mazda M08. They do not share that much in common since the UU7 has Ia mA of 60 and the UU8 is much stronger valve @ Ia mA of 120. May you need any, price is only £ 60 each

| Our loved GZ32 Mullard boxed and unboxed |
Most of us know this valve for many reasons. We would say this is the rectifier that made the history of HI-FI back in the 50s and 60's. We have stock of GZ32 rectifiers both with square getter and inverted cup getter. We also have stock of boxed and unboxed GZ32 Mullard all tested and working. GZ32 = 5V4 and CV 593. Price £ 50 and £ 40 unboxed

| GZ33 also GZ37 (CV378) and Cossor 53KU |
These valves are called 'long-cones' for the fact that they actually resemble like a cone!. We have limited stock of these rare rectifiers all tested and selected with our AVO CV 160 valve tester. From left to right: GZ33 Mullard, then GZ37 Mullard square getter then CV378 virtually same valve and Cossor 53KU same as GZ37. Prices from L to R: £ 70 - £ 70 - 70
| Various CV....rectifiers selected equivalent of 6X4 |
The idea to also show some of these rare 6X4 lays in the fact that the 6X4 finds practical use in preamplifier when using tubes such as ECC83 hence low current required around 30 mA and that's the job 6X4 can easily do. The 6X4 has CV number 493 also 4005 also EZ90, and U78 do the job. Price £ 15. First on the left is EZ81. We also stock EZ80. Price £ 15 each

| GZ34 for those who lke this version |
We have for sale a matched pair of GZ34 HL this is of European (possibly Holland) manufacturing. Both valves are identical and most of all in great condition and working order as photo shows. The all-around construction virtually shares 100% similarity to a Brimar or Mazda or Mullard GZ34. These valves are cool! £ 60

| U12 and U18 Rectifiers for early Radio and Amps |
We have three types of valves here which find lot of application in radio or possibly (like we do) Single Ended PX25 amp and radiograms. Yes! you got it right the long cone one on the left is a U18 built like a tank with B4 socket, same as the UU5 on the right. That is a Mazda valve. The one in the middle is a U31 Price: L to R: £ 35 - £ 20 - £ 25 each
